Relive the movie favorites through an orchestral arrangement you have to hear to believe.
Friday Night Alive! In Balboa Park
Friday night celebrations are a real thing in Balboa Park as food trucks take over the park every Friday night in August all the way through September. Not only can you feed the entire family (picky eaters and all) , but you can also enjoy hands-on creative projects, free live entertainment, and late closing hours at certain museums in the area.
ArtWalk At Liberty Station
On Saturday, August 10th starting at 10 in the morning, Liberty Station welcomes the 14th annual ArtWalk. This summer fine arts festival takes place at Ingram Plaza and allows the whole family to experience fine art in its fullest form. The free event takes place all weekend long and features artwork from national, international, and local artists through a variety of mediums including fine jewelry, sculpture, painting, photography and more. The KidsWalk area is especially popular with families with an interactive art area and delicious street foods.
Hillcrest Farmers Market
On Sundays throughout August, enjoy locally grown produce, arts and crafts, flowers, clothes, gifts and other items with over 175 vendors. Many local farmers grow organic produce with no pesticides. There are also many prepared and hot food items including international cuisine. Local musicians are featured as entertainment every week.
Harbor Fest
This event on Saturday, August 17th includes three stages of music, water activities, a pet parade, car displays, Lucha Libre wrestling, food trucks, art exhibits and more—all with the beautiful ocean as a background. This is an event that was made for families with the Discovery Zone a perfect place for kids to explore interactive arts and crafts and free paddle board and kayaking lessons along with lessons about seaside ecosystems.
