Summer San Diego Living

There are good reasons to live just about anywhere, but when you compare various locations throughout the seasons, it’s hard to beat San Diego life in the summertime. San Diego is a truly beautiful place any time of the year, but in the summer, it’s a downright wonderful place to live. Here are a few reasons why you would enjoy living in San Diego during the summer months:
 

The Mild Weather

It’s always 70 degrees in San Diego. Okay, so maybe that’s not the complete truth, but it is pretty darn close to it. Some of the suburbs get to be between 80-90 degrees, but in general, San Diego is 70 degrees and sunny. If you don’t like extreme heat or nasty cold snaps, you don’t have to worry about them here. You are free to ditch your winter wear for flip flops and board shorts and enjoy the mild temperatures all year round. And in the summer, when your friends across the country are complaining about the blazing heat, you can brag about how nice and cool you are. You’re comfortable, all summer long in one of the most beautiful places in the country. Pretty sweet, right?
 

The Beaches

While San Diego has plenty of beautiful sites, many of them reside along the oceanfront. The beaches are some of the most beautiful in the state there is always plenty to do for everyone in the group or family.  At some beaches you can ride your bike along a designated path, while others are more family and kid-friendly. There are beaches for sunbathing and those that have great waves for ocean fun. There aren’t many people in the city on the weekends because they’re all enjoying the beaches and the San Diego sunshine.
 

Local Breweries

San Diego has hit number three on the Forbes list for Best Beer cities. Every bar in the region carries local brews like Stone, Karl Straus, and Coronado and there are beer festivals around every corner. In June, the International Beer Festival crowns a ‘best in show’ and for those who live in the area, the Festival of Beer in September gives money to cancer research to further the Fight Against Cancer.
 

Family Friendly Activities

There are also plenty of things for families to do as kids grow and learn. Take the San Diego Zoo, for example, You can take a long stroll with the family through the zoo and see plants and animals galore. Check out the new koala exhibit, take a look at the mom and baby pandas, and enjoy elephants in a natural habitat that exudes adorableness and fosters learning about animals and their lifestyles.
